8th July Update

Lots of prep for the plastering coming in over the weekend, the poor lads found out they had to strip the wallpaper in a small windowless room on a very very hot day. Steam strippers and hot dark rooms.....I am gave the lads a bonus cold beer from the fridge!

The master bedroom with the wardrobe. You can see the laths exposed. Thankfully all the guys were careful and we have retained as much as possible, which we will reuse for the trim round the doors and cornice. I have also talked to Richard (windows) about copying the cornice and Dado, and he can make a Jig to replicate it...not cheep...but very much worth it

Sat 8th July, Wade is doing the plastering and manages to get 1.5 days work done in a day, probably cos he is on stilts (I thought he was joking when he said he plastered on stilts)
